    Look before you leap; they’re not called swabbies for nothing.

    They don’t lie but they sure don’t tell the truth.

    Running from a typhoon in the South China Sea on a 245 foot warship with a semi-round bottom and I took a pic and captioned it. My recruiter never said anything about this! Wha’d we have for breakfast, oh yeah, scrapple…

    @husky51

    I thought scrapple was only a Pennsylvania delicacy!
    I used to like it until I decided that along with the Jews and Muslims (not to mention the Christian Old Testament), there would be no swine when I dine.

    I was never aboard a ship that swabbed the weather decks while they were underway.Inside the compartments and passageways,swabbing took place everyday.

    My son spent 13 years in the Navy, never set foot on a boat, or ship. But he DID see a lot of the world, the dry land part, which the “blue water guys” don’t. (On the down side, the those “blue water” types didn’t get to see IEDs!)
