You’ll just have to keep that phone on.

Why do people have cell phones and either leave them turned off or sitting at home?
cryptomaniac said, 4 months ago
JFri, because cell phones have turned out to be more of a pain than the boon they were expected to be. Where I live, the moment you give a person your cell phone number, you can be sure they will never ever again call you on your office or home numbers if they can help it. It gets a bit much when you seem to spend all your “working” or “relaxing” time answering one call after another.
I know they are great for emergencies, etc. but I for one have a bad network in my office, so most times the cellphone is “unreachable”, and I don’t mind it one bit!

I am not paying to make it easier for others to annoy me. I am paying to make it easier for me to annoy others.

If you just want it for emergencies, get a tracfone (track phone). It costs about fifteen bucks every three months, with about as many minutes.

It’s OK, no harm in missing call of the wild, but we ALWAYS have to answer call of nature.

btw thanks rdh, that’s a highly helpful info.

Trackphones don’t have coverage where I live. So, check out their coverage areas before you buy.

Well said, olfart. I just can’t understand the growing obsession with being at everyone else’s beck-and-call 24/7 these days.
