    In our system, the doctor takes a look at you for a minute, takes a wild guess, then charges you $1,000 which the insurance company declines. And woe to you if you ever actually get sick.

    It’s pretty much that way now. If you want an actual diagnosis you need to go to Mayo Clinic, or ask for a nurse practitioner. Otherwise, it’s better to tell the doctor what the medical problem is and suggest ways to treat it.

    If it’s that bad now, wait until Obamacare kicks in, think how fast and accurate ANY government agency works, and the costs involved.
