I always loved Uncle Ruckus. He and Huey were my favorites.

If you guys get a chance, check out Mr. Gigi and the Squid. T Lewis and Todd Clark are the creators. It looks like it might be a fun ride.

I believe so. According to Wikipedia, he was introduced as a replacement Santa Claus in December 2004.

Having watched the animated series, I was wondering when he was going to show up.

I forgot about Ruckus’s grand entrance as St. Nick. And what a grand entrance it is.

It sounds kind of mean, but Jazmine is so cute when she’s dejected.

Uncle Ruckus is a black man who totally buys into the white is superior propaganda. He is the illustration for what can happen in the wrong way. But then Aaron McGruder uses many characters to play out the things he sees in real groups of people. I liked his one where Dr. Rev. MLK Jr. was in a coma instead of dead and reawakens in the 21st century and is appalled as where his people have gone. Poignant.
