Meet Aaron McGruder’s The Boondocks: Huey and Riley Freeman, Jazmine DuBois, and Huey’s best friend, Caesar. This comic strip reflects the racial diversity and complexity of our world. Combining Huey’s childish antics with contemporary political and social satire, the strip explores the terrain where dashikis and Brand Nubian CDs meet The Gap and Hanson.

Just tell Mr. Petto not to disturb your independent studies. You have already given him a detailed critique of the irrelevant Eurocentric history he’s trying to impose on you.

Do you guys remember how the principal treated the Freemans with kid gloves when they arrived for fear of a harrassment suit? I wonder if at this point he still fears them?

ah, mr. petto used to be huey’s teacher? on the show he’s riley’s teacher now. come to think of it, the principal in the comic strip was actually huey’s teacher on the show until he was fired for doing the black jesus christmas play.
