Meet Aaron McGruder’s The Boondocks: Huey and Riley Freeman, Jazmine DuBois, and Huey’s best friend, Caesar. This comic strip reflects the racial diversity and complexity of our world. Combining Huey’s childish antics with contemporary political and social satire, the strip explores the terrain where dashikis and Brand Nubian CDs meet The Gap and Hanson.

Clarification from yesterday: Until there’s a French equivalent of the Boondocks within American newspapers, then a dropping in rank can’t occur for the French/African Americans. Of course, I could’ve missed it in the 7+ years since yesterday’s comic came out. I’d think that the French would have a better sense of humor, though, so it’d be harder to make a…Parisdocks? Help me out here.
As for today’s comic, I think the reason for the third panel is because of all the French movies the comic bashes. People love French movies.

SaintRCat, uhm French/African American? You help me out here, plz. If an African is living in France, by this syntax, would not that person be African-French? But that is just hair-splitting; the issue here really is the fact that this centers around actual reported news here in the United States of America. NOWHERE in it are the French mentioned. I’m not sure if you are trying to make fun of the French or draw attention to them. Either way there seems to be a bit of a disconnect on your part.

The only good french movie that I recall seeing is La Femme Nikita.
I saw 400 blows this past semester and all I can think of is Rebel with a cause.
