Meet Aaron McGruder’s The Boondocks: Huey and Riley Freeman, Jazmine DuBois, and Huey’s best friend, Caesar. This comic strip reflects the racial diversity and complexity of our world. Combining Huey’s childish antics with contemporary political and social satire, the strip explores the terrain where dashikis and Brand Nubian CDs meet The Gap and Hanson.

I watched my country, the one I defended, die today, although the death throes may take awhile

That’s funny you are a Carolina Negroes fan too. Oh I mean Redskins, my bad. Um sorry I am not as perceptive as you and had only noticed the past 8 years of social and economic destruction of our country and not what has happened in the 8 hours since Barrack Obama became president. Good luck I can only hope for the best, and hope you can appreciate any movement out of this rut of destruction that we have been stuck in. I for one am usually apolitical am glad that I can actually listen to this man speak and not want to scream out of frustration.

I watched my country, the one I defended after 9/11, final live up to the creed, “All men are created equal.”
