Huey: We know he's dull. He's even admitted it himself. But the question is why is he so awkward, and is there a more sinister significance to it? Some have theorized that Gore appears to lack personality because there is no "real" him. He's a man devoid of genuine passion. A mannequin, if you will... posed and ready to adopt whatever exterior might be politically convenient for any given moment. Is he, in fact, a perpetual fraud? Is that they only way to explain a man who is so soulless, his every attempt at exhibiting genuine humanity--down to a sloppy public display of affection--is premeditated by strategists and stiffy executed with all the believability of a third-rate thespian?
