    I think most of us think of a slow cooker and a crock pot as the same thing. Same as kleenex, it’s a brand name but many of us say kleenex instead of tissue.

    and in Texas a coke can be a Coke-A-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Root Beer or what ever but not a pop or soda just a coke. lol

    And “Xerox” is used generically for photocopy, and “Levis” for jeans, etc. That is exactly how “aspirin”, a registered, trademarked brand lost that trademark, because it got used generically so much to describe the product no matter who the manufacturer was.

    Yes, I about choked when once in Texas I overheard this conversation at a gas pump. Man#1 “You wanna coke?”, Man#2 “Yeah” #1 “What you want?” #2 “Dr. Pepper”.

    Well, I learned something, too. Since I’ve never used one myself, I often wondered what the difference was, or if there even was one, since both appeared to me to be the same thing. But given the way people often use a brand name to refer to a particular product (e.g., a coke not made by Coke), it makes sense now.
