    Mom’s wrong, there were cheater books that gave you tips in solving Rubik’s Cube… I still have one, along with about 3 of the cubes… My fastest solve on a random cube (mixed by someone else) was 2 min, 10 sec…

    I just peeled the color stickers off and put them in the right places. People said I was cheating, I said I got the same result as they did without the aggravation.

    I don’t know if they still do, but YouTube had a number of videos showing “easy” cube solving methods.

    A robot can solve a Rubik’s cube. And for no understandable reason, there was a 12 episode cartoon series for Rubik’s cube. Both can be found on Youtube.
