“Do you regularly embarrass yourself just to tell lame jokes?”
You mean, like a cartoonist?
(Oh, that’s a tad unfair. Bo Nanas is one of the best strips never to make it.)

I gotta admit, this is not a very good gag. (I’m usually much better with the “turn lame joke of its ear” thing.) The “spine” of this gag needed to be more obvious - it about the pirate’s need for attention and that he purposely dropped his own pants to order to make a joke.
Anyway…my apologies.
I probably originally ran this on a Saturday, the lowest readership day of the week.

probably shouldn’t have used a swash to be buckled, maybe a piece of rope would have worked better.

that is probably because a lot of the people who read your comic are doing it at work
myself i read it daily, but don’t always post a comment

Love the pirate’s face in panel 2!-It’s so obvious that it’s not REALLY an ‘oops’. :)
It’s hard to go wrong with pirate humour in my opinion John - great strip!

John - don’t be too rough on yourself. I give you credit for leaving out any “arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr”s
