Welcome to the wonderful world of obsessive compulsive cartoonist Frank Page and his band of misfits. Bob the Squirrel chronicles the life and times of Bob, a squirrel and Frank, the human he's taken in as his own. Other ingredients in this comic strip stew include Frank's girlfriend- the effervescent "foofy coffee chick" Lezley, her daughter Lauren and Maggie, the overly protective pug mix. And to complete the meal, why don't we throw in Frank's dog, a jack russell terrier named Lucy---a dog who loves to climb trees, eat nacho chips and generally be the yang to Bob's ying. There's something for everyone in Bob the Squirrel... so, make a daily stop to see what's going on. You will not be disappointed.

Actually, it seems quite wonderful that the things you’ve created are preserved for as long as you care for them to be. Think of the Neanderthal cave paintings. Of course, I don’t recall any squirrels there.

I think it’s kind of neat to have your life recorded that way. :)

I’d love to have an original “Bob”! Might this search lead to many Bob strips being offered for sale? Think additional income, Frank! I don’t see them on the website – are they there?

yes… if you go to http://www.bobthesquirrel.com there’s a “BUY ORIGINAL” option underneath the daily strip… if there’s one that you wanted specifically let me know…

Frank – just to be clear, I’m not bored; I love the strip and am a serious student of squirrelosophy. I was just putting forward a little pun for Bob, given the Bristol Board connection. But if you have to explain the joke…

If you enjoy it and can make a living doing it, then it’s not sad at all…

It would be great to a able to make a living at art. The talented ones struggle but they are also seen and printed. And we are all so glad they are, giving us Bob, and Holly and Wally, and Red and Rover and all the rest!
of course many have talents that are never discovered. and that is what is really sad.
