    Probably the most accurate portrayal of this debacle I’ve seen.

    Depends on ones definition of a reasonable budget. In the end the affordable care act will prove to be very popular. It’s been passed in both the Senate & House & affirmed by the Supreme Court. Case Closed.

    In the mythical world of “the right”, that “reasonable” destruction of the economy, and continuing to rip off the middle to feed the greed of the top 1%, is of course what the founding fathers (of the TEA party) intended.

    The elephant used unreasonable, dangerous and unnecessary tactics resulting in financial loss and loss of confidence in America, that’s why he is the dangerous blackmailer.

    @Rad-ish

    You don’t think being $17 Trillion in debt erodes confidence in America?

    a) All budget bills, including CRs, have to originate in the House as per U.S. constitution

    b) The House is controlled by the GOP

    c) Any shutdown of the government is therefor automatically the fault of the House

    d) To avoid this send some SENSIBLE law over to the Senate, best after negotiating it in conference and committee beforehand, not shooting a “rainbow and a pony” bill from the hip and then wondering why everybody is shaking their heads so sadly, like watching a puppy doing his business on the carpet…

    The one that wanted to go against the clearly expressed wishes of the American people in the last election. What do I win? Can I get my country back now?

    The GOP not only wasted 24 billion, but was insisting on removing a key mechanism for funding Obamacare.

    If the blue elephants want to change a law passed by yellow donkeys, and validated by the Supreme Court, let the blue elephants follow the methodology set down in the Constitution. Pretty simple really.

    this comment only show your complete and utter faliure to understand how the constitution framed the “duties” and responsibilities of each house and the President.

    So I suppose that “sensible” to you is a bill that gives democrats complete control.

    But then you go on to make those oh so astute comparisons. I’m sure you will not be affected by a law in the US so your opinion is of no value.
