Some parts of Iraq won’t be useful for 10,000 years because of the depleted uranium pollution we spread around there.

Another overblown distortion to spread panic among the paranoids. BTW: white phosphorous is a “chemical weapon”, as is napalm (though gasoline and Ivory soap flakes will work), and the United States has had no qualms about using both, for decades. CS and “pepper spray” are also “chemical weapons” used on our own citizens with no big regard for “dangerous exploitation” of chemical weapons, at home.

Yep, a couple canisters, that were originally provided by Rumsfeld and Cheney, are a serious problem in the Middle East.

BTW: before responding to Radish, it’s important to note that DU is merely “used up” fuel rods not suitable for reactors, but still highly radioactive, especially when exposed to high temperatures, like in a burning armored vehicle, and leaves behind a really dangerous “mess”, just like some long lasting chemical weapons, like mustard agent, that Europeans still find active occasionally, that were deployed, in World War ONE!
