    Oh, please. Good thing he didn’t use a knife… would have been hard to work that image into the logo. Sad way to use a real tragedy to politicize an idea.

    Rich, dumb, young celebrities whose day-to-day life involves learning how to be more violent for lots of money … what could POSSIBLY go wrong?

    And now a few hundred thousand young people have learned that if you have a problem with a girl or woman, pick up a gun and the problem is solved.

    The guy obviously had issues, this “cartoon” is just wrong.

    Some People will cheapen anything, some do it on TV at half time.

    I’ve got to admit that I am a little puzzled by this cartoon. Just because someone does something insane does not mean that the organizations to which he belonged are liable or responsible. I was also puzzled by the fact that they (at the game) honored they guy – hey – they guy is a MURDERER! You honored a MURDERER.

    A couple years ago, Steve McNair was cheating on his wife with a much younger lady. She killed him and then herself in his Condo near LP Field, The Titans Stadium

    Flag on the play there, Doc. The problem was not “solved”. In fact, Belcher was so distraught and messed up that he ended up killing himself. What are young people going to learn from that? Take out your partner, destroy your family and then destroy yourself? Is THAT what you are suggesting???

    Yes. Exactly.

    Think about it. Why do so many mass murderers or killers commit suicide? They’ve solved their problems with their guns and then avoided any punishment or consequences by committing suicide.

    What do you suppose the “copycat” element to these murders is? It’s become a meme. It’s How To Do Things in America.

    Isn’t a young death glorified in America? Live fast, die young, and leave a beautiful corpse? Going out in a blaze of glory? A glorious death defending what he believed in?

    Models to be emulated. And they are, endlessly.

    @Rottiluv

    This toon is spot on. The percentage of American households that own guns is in the 40’s – the percentage of NFL players who own guns is in the 70’s.

    Yes, it’s the NFL responsible for gun violence and gun mentality, certainly not the NRA!
