Strange, the acronym “PIIGS” has disappeared from the news. It stood for “Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Spain”. Well, Portugal took their medicine and is all the better for it. Italy elected a technocrat and is getting back on it’s feet. Spain was able to obtain new capital in the free market (at high markups, but nevertheless). Of Ireland I haven’t heard a thing in month. And Greece has not yet collapsed, despite the best efforts by Wall Street and the rest of the vultures. If Europe survives this struggle some people are going to lose big, big money and it couldn’t happen to nicer hyenas…

Greece is about to collapse according to the MSM

Strange. wasn’t it a black man who’s the re-elected president? Or is ist so hard to color it, so the facial features don’t get lost in print?

And when have you last heard of iceland? That country flopped so hard in 2008, it maybe should have rediscovered barter trading and pottery by now. Instead Island’s economy returned so strong that its rating is back to “investment recommendated”.
It looks like letting banks lie when they crash to be a great solution – for the people. The banksters have a differing opinion.

Rich people in Greece didn’t pay their taxes either.

Oh right, Iceland, I totally forgot about Iceland. Well, their “flop” was mostly with foreign money (Icesafe) and I think I remember that the government simply refused to honor the demands by the mostly British investors in that fund. Same game as with Luxembourg: never invest in a company that has financial ties to any fund in Luxembourg, chances are you never see a cent of your money again…

Mandate? If you have to strain, twist, and wiggle in your arguments that Obama got a mandate, then there ain’t no mandate.
braindead08 said, 7 months ago
I saw David Axelrod interviewed and he said there is NO mandate. He also said that inferring a mandate is a dangerous concept and the administration wanted nothing to do with it.

It’s only Fox “news” saying that Obama thinks he has a mandate. Not Obama. Not anyone in the administration.
Why can’t Fox “news” discuss real issues?

I keep seeing references to Fox News as being biased. Yet, it seems that Fox news points out and brings up things that the other networks seem to ignore. It seems to me that it is the other networks that are biased in not reporting controversial or anti-administration topics.
I really hate the fact that all the networks “decide” on what is the news for any given day. For us people, the “news” is whatever they decide to tell us.

^you’re watching the wrong network. watch cspan, get the original source material. then when you watch the “news” you’ll see just how biased the reporting is.
most of the press leans towards itself – it reports what it thinks will sell, true, false or indifferent.
all in all the press leans in the direction of it’s ownership, fascist right. you know that’s true because the right keeps repeating the lie that the press leans left.

Yep, even ‘leftist’ MSNBC is owned by GE. Sometimes I wonder if that’s why they’re such a screwup network.

I agree with you Fox is the only major new agency in the world that reports the things you think are important
So that leaves me to conclude two possible explanations.
1.Every major news agency in the world except Fox is in Obamas back pocked.
2.Fox is on a witch hunt, making mountains out of mole hills, and most of the time out of nothing.
What-D-Hey said, 7 months ago
On the contrary, does being different automatically make you wrong? And then, there is the difference between the truth versus the whole truth. They can be very different as you know. And, by the way, I never said Fox picked things that were important to me – I was simply putting forth some different ways of looking at things. None of us should be closed minded. Our ideas need to be challenged – that is why we haunt these halls of discussion.
