Since 1983, Bob Gorrell has been an editorial cartoonist in Richmond, Va. first with the Richmond News Leader and then, starting in 1992, with the Richmond Times-Dispatch. On January 1, 1998, he resigned from the Times-Dispatch to concentrate on syndicated editorial cartoons and comic panel features for Creators Syndicate.

Actually, it’s a very good comparison: Someone being judged solely on externals. In one case, beauty. In the other, party affiliation. The difference is that the American Idol judges had the guts to listen and then to shove their prejudices aside and make an accurate and honest assessment.

Well, I guess that’s his opinion. Of course, anything a Democrat does will seem bad to him, so no big deal. I like most of what I’ve seen Obama do so far. And where I disagree, I’m making it known.

I think it is a sign of leadership that Obama is kissing the butt of all our enemies, even when they insult him to his face. Maybe they are all laughing so hard they won’t be mean to us. Obama says, “Can’t we all be friends, please?”

So far, it appears that Obama is perfoming as well as can be expected considering what he was given.
Remember, it is the extreme right that had (and continues to have) false notions about Obama.
