Since 1983, Bob Gorrell has been an editorial cartoonist in Richmond, Va. first with the Richmond News Leader and then, starting in 1992, with the Richmond Times-Dispatch. On January 1, 1998, he resigned from the Times-Dispatch to concentrate on syndicated editorial cartoons and comic panel features for Creators Syndicate.

Stewie, you know that 80% of these bad loans that they are talking about bailing out are good. Those people are paying their mortgage. It’s the fact that these banks bundled them together and sold them that way, and now there is a potential for a 20% loss that they are all freaking out about it. With them bundled together they can’t tell what is good and what is bad, even though it’s 80% to 20%. Most of these people are paying and didn’t borrower more than they could afford.
