    Is it visible from space?
    (I’ve read that the real one isn’t … or is … which is it?)

    @Eyjafjallajokull

    No, it is. The incorrect version was that the Great Wall is the only man made structure visible with the naked eye from orbit. A number of man made objects are visible from orbit.

    Depends on your definition of “space” and who is looking. Modern recon satellites can resolve objects about a half meter across, so they can see the wall. A human in low orbit, on the other hand? No. There ARE lots of human artifacts visible from low orbit, but the wall is not one (the Genus Edition lies).

    From the MOON, however, nada. You see the earth in it’s pure state. Water, land, clouds. None of our mess.

    1/1000 scale? He’d need a much bigger box.

    Penguins don’t have any teeth, but they do have barbs on their tongue and throat. These barbs point backwards helping penguins swallow slippery fish, squid and krill.
    So I guess it’s really gold filled barbs, but it’s the thought that counts.

    They don’t talk, either.

    Teeth or barbs there’s that unmistakable aroma of herring on the gold.

    1/1000th would be aout 1.5 miles long. I don’t think it would fit in that little box.
