    Berkely was never quite Bill Watterson, as this strip proves. The more “Outland” the strip got, the more unreadable it got. Shark has been jumped, people.

    I disagree; I think that the more abstract it got, the BETTER it was. Of course, I’m an old fan of the drugged-out ‘60s underground comix (for those of you familiar with those, note the Victor Moscoso homage in panel 4 (if we aren’t counting the title panel). A little surrealism never hurt anybody.
