With better cash flow, less corruption, and not speeding toward bankruptcy.

Hodge-Podge and Portnoy should have brought Cutter John’s ’starship," too, so he could get around without them!

Without unions there would be no weekends. Like weekends? Thank the unions!

Hm, funny. I thought outsourcing to China was the decision of MANAGEMENT. I don’t think I’ve heard of a single union vote to do so.

Thanks to unions, we have Chevys that cost $40K. Like Chevys that cost $40K … thank the unions.

You’re right. But collective bargaining agreements that are unsustainable are the reason management has done that. Thank the unions.

Where ever there is Big money, like union dues, there is someone willing to misuse it. The union bosses have been guilty of it over the ages.

Did unions unilaterally implement those contracts? What does that say about the intellect (or motives) of the company officers who signed them?

Corporations move to the Third World because wages are next to nothing, they don’t have to pay benefits, or worry about environmental laws. I remember the paper companies moving from my neck of the woods to the Southern Right to Work states to avoid higher wages and clean water laws. As soon as Mexico opened up they moved there in a flash. Unions had nothing to do with this. Greed did how ever.

I guess in some parts of the US, unions can be very corrupt and act like thugs when they don’t get their way. (I remember one news story talking about a man who was stabbed by union bullies and his wife was threatened with sexual violence, etc. because he didn’t want to hire union) I don’t think all unions are created equal though, and many good things have come from some unions too.
