First they came for the lusty penguins,
    and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a lusty penguin…..

Hey, Milo! Don’t interrupt the narrator when he’s building up suspense in the storyline!

Au contraire … I think the narrator was waiting for a response and was met only by a deafening silence.

Why is it funny to parody Christans?

You must be too young to remember the 80’s, Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Baker, Tammy Fey, Peter Popoff, the hypocrisy and the scandals they were involved with, oh my they just cried out to be lampooned mercilessly.

Just wait till the giant purple spiders from Leng come in to live. They are hungry, hungry spiders too.

This is why religion gets a bad reputation. It gets judged by it’s representatives.

Parodying and humiliating Christians is ALWAYS funny. Comedy gold that never gets old.

@bunnyman09 – actually, the parody and humiliation of just about any extreme points of view and behaviour are gold!

I beg to differ. I am a believer, with no doubts. But I see the humor, and usually enjoy it, because I know how stupid, ignorant, misguided, “pick your own adjective”, or whatever people can be. And, no, I’m not referring to necessarily to non-believers, but to believers.

And the parodies are nearly always about the misinterpretations believers have, not what I perceive to be truth. Just for example: 6,0000 years. It wasn’t the “world” that was created that long ago, but the “age”. It was the beginning of the seed line that would produce the messiah. It was the beginning of the story
