No, in actuality the odds of any of that nonsense comes out as impossible. Many do not appreciate that there actually is a difference between high odds and impossible. Time cannot cure the problem of impossibility.

Does this make Oliver a conehead?

I think I’d have chosen to bop Oliver with the cone that landed on my feet… and enjoy the other one.

Is it possible that the universe was created? No, people would rather believe in things occurring despite astronomical odds rather than be personally accountable to God.

It’s Wednesday. Can you imagine the odds against that? 7 to 1! Must be Magic Man done it!

What was it before it was wednesday? (Or any other named day.)
Perhaps Beagle boy could explain that.

Statistically speaking, there was about a one in one chance that Opus would compound his own bad luck himself by sticking his remaining ice cream cone on Oliver’s nose by the last frame…

The odds are pretty good that the Big Bang had causation, since everything else has causation. Mortimer Adler wrote a pretty good argument that the Big Bang “causation” is what we euphemistically call “Creator of the Universe,” although the nature of that Creator is unknowable. While the causation is unarguable, the nature of the Creator is not within the realm of science, but of faith, alone.

Yup, a creator is just common sense.

    So is a flat earth.

    Deal with it.
