    Strawman argument example: “If we let men marry men or women marry women, we’ll have to let people marry ferns!”
    .
    The implication is, I don’t want people marrying ferns, but that isn’t really right.

    That’s a little harsh. There are a lot of good dramas on TV these days. Although, a lot of what you find on basic cable these days is of questionable value. Honey Boo Boo, Hoarders, and their ilk.
