    I quit watching Letterman when he trashed Ron Paul.

    He trashes everyone . . . everyone gets a turn at some point – same with most comedians. (not that I watch Letterman anyway)

    Always enjoyed the daily columns rather than the ones that ran on Sundays. Love the Bill the Cat and Billy & the Boingers plot lines.

    I usually watch the last part of the Letterman show waiting for Craig Ferguson to come on. Very funny guy.

    I’d trash Ron Paul too considering he is fine with local tyranny over federal.

    @Ionizer

    Actually, that was one of the biggest debates amongst the framers (State vs federal power)
    While I still believe the state should be sovereign, it seems the people have allowed the feds to have control. Remember, during the country’s early years, the federalists were the ones who held office, and this was the will of the people.

    So how would the states rights folks like to have it. Should the U.S. be essentially a 50 small nations loosely bound together as a union essentially for defense with a common military to which all contribute. Sure would make interstate commerce a pain in the ass.
