    Very articulate Mr. Bill!
    A one hit wonder has to make it while they can.

    Bill knows! But his surprisingly articulate response was at the same time ambiguous (despite Milo’s interpretation). Was “Sell out!!” a cry of acquiescence or an embittered critique?

    I wonder where Berk got the inspiration for Bill. Watterson based Hobbes off of his cat Sprite a little . . . I wonder if Berk had some really screwed up cat in his life . . . or person for that matter.

    @MrSulusBrain

    Used to have Right Guard, but my left armpit sure got stinky. So, I went with an ambi-deodorent.

    Listen to Neil Young’s “This Note’s for You.” I doesn’t mince words about “selling out.”

    Actually, according to WIkipedia, Bill is based off of two people: a homeless man in the area at the time and a professor that Berkeley worked with…

    The rock god has sold out… an idol has fallen from its pedestal. Why, Bill, why?

    “Selling out is the compromising of integrity, morality, or principles in exchange for personal gain, such as money. In terms of music or art, selling out is associated with attempts to tailor material to a mainstream or commercial audience, for example a musician who alters their material to encompass a wider audience may be labeled by fans who pre-date the change as a sellout.”

    As Bill has no integrity, morals or principles, he cannot sell out.
    The proper term is “cashing in”.
