   a real politician would not be flustered by such a simple question. he (or she) would string together a bunch of bafflegab that sounded like an answer and move on. good thing Opus isn’t anything like a real politician.

    In 1984, former Vice President and presidential candidate Walter Mondale selected Geraldine Ferraro to be his running mate in the upcoming election. One could imagine that rather than a reference to the 2008 Republican nominee, this old strip references the previous 1984 Democrat nominee.
