and he’d be right if he’s spreading the wealth that others already possess
For Hugh B Hayve farther down: For every good experience you can name, I can name 10 bad ones from Canada. What about freedom of choice? Is that why I see so many Canadian vehicle plates here in Florida. They can’t all be going to Disney World!
“Spreading the wealth” …… since Reagan, that has meant taking the money that puts food on the table of those who ACTUALLY ARE PRODUCTIVE, rebuilds the infrastructure, and strengthens the national security … and spreads it to a few well connected individuals who never were productive in their entire lives.
When has socialism ever made wealth though. They can’t even defend themselvs in Europe. Lot of pretty buildings universal health care that you have to wait two months when you have 6 weeks to live. No Thank you.
oooooooooo these forums can sure become hot beds. seriously though i just hope obahma realizes that if he does not help us he will be a far greater pariah than bush will ever be
No no no, idiocy is believing all that superstitious nonsense from political know-it-alls about a social program they never had experience with before. We have an excellent system for health care here in Canada, my, and my family and friends get there problems looked after in timely fashion and don’t have to sign everything they own over to some doctor. There are no gov’t go-betweens or overseers sticking there nose in the process as some propagandists would have you believe. Geez, I thought maybe Americans would’ve grown up politically since the McCarthy era, but I see that some still believe the rhetoric and haven’t learned to think for themselves.
Fact is, I suffered a heart attack in July last year, I might have died if I was in an American hospital while some desk nurse was trying to decide if my insurance was valid, not in Canada, they don’t check to see if your premiums have been paid or how much money you have in your wallet before they admit you. They treat you whether you’re rich or poor.
Hugh B. Hayve:
Thank you for taking the time to post from personal experience. Way too much of health care discussions are based on secondary, tertiary and beyond inputs promulgated as “facts” but really just exemplifying the preformed biases of the speaker.
We have a very broken heath care system here and, unfortunately, it won’t even begin to get fixed until people open their eyes and ears to reality.

If this were done today the duck would say ‘spread the wealth’ and he’d call it a socialist.

And the proper term is neo-con.

That’s BS propaganda that has been fed to you by HMOs.

cfortunato: Ask a Canadian or an Englishman.
Idiocy: Repeating the same plan over & over, expecting a different result each time it’s tried.

aerwalt - that’s not idiocy, it’s insanity. Idiocy is sitting on your butt trusting the government to take care of you.

We should not have to pay for an incompetant doctor, I am all for socialized health care.
