Try the hélicon. Sousa didn’t like it. (Just to be contrary.)

Somehow, and this occurred to me even when this originally appeared, I never thought of Pink Floyd as “heavy metal”. I mean, you can understand the words, and all.

I saw Pink Floyd in a small theatre in 1969. It was the first time I ever experienced surround sound. All the lights were turned off and music streamed all the way around the venue like a wave to the side around behind us, to our other side and back to the stage. It was amazing.

Hey Binkley! Leave that Penguin alone!
You haven’t eaten your pop corn! You have to eat your popcorn before you eat your milk duds! How can you have any milk duds if you don’t eat your popcorn!?

Aren’t there Tubas playing in “The Trial” right before they tear down the wall?

    ForeverAllstar: XLNT! LOL!

Opus had better, dare I say, Run Like Hell…..?

cleokaya-I saw them at Merriweather Post Pavilion for the “Dark Side of the Moon” tour. Dual Quadrophenic sound system, one in the pavilion and one in the lawn. Sound was incredible. Unfortunately, some IDIOTS rushed the fence in order to get in. Merriweather stopped having “Rock” concerts for many years after that. HMMM, would this be considered “Heavy Metal”?

Yeah #1 redskins fan. Pink Floyd is hardly heavy metal. Led Zeppelin is whom I have always heard was kind of the first heavy metal band, whom I paid $3.50 to see in concert.

Wow–3.50? my first ticket was $5.00 for Kiss w/ Cheap Trick open. One of the few I didn’t save the stub. I miss the Arty tickets with the thick raised ink. Of course they were distributed to the outlets by hand. Not all change is great.
