Think he’s paraphrasing Paul Simon here…”From the shelter of my mind/through the window of my eyes…” Probably his prettiest song.

The original text of the penultimate frame was “..if my tush was like Ed Meese’s” I guess they had to clean it up….

Strange that they would have to take that word out. Breathed must have decided on his own to change it. Considering that he had Steve Dallas bathing in the nude with a young boy, changing that word seems particularly strange.

    I thought something was different…it’s not BB’s decision, it’s comics.com’s decision.

I’ve seen a lot worse, for example, in C’est La Vie. That’s why I thought it might be an individual thing. Maybe they consider the typical age of the reader. Hmmm…wonder what that makes us?

It makes us cantankerous old f@rts who don’t believe in political correctness, pampering anyone older than 5 and male, and who find solidarity in our opinion that nobody has any guts anymore.

At least, nobody on OUR side.

So, you think it’s okay to pamper females over 5? You’re just not cantankerous enough yet, Roger.

Can’t I pamper them just a little bit? I’d hate to completely give up my social life just to be considered sufficiently cantankerous to be respected by my peers.

    pakrat98 says in part:

    The original text […]

… is available in the collection Loose Tails. That book's preface implies that many changes were made for the original newspaper run (which was back in the early '80s, after all).
