Why do TV critics think Don Draper is great and pass on Gil Grissom. Better actor, more interesting character, with no pushup bra more attractive love interest. Somewhere around twice the brains. Isn’t solving murders more interesting, and more useful, than rebranding dogfood?
The other version of 30 Rock, the drama one, it was creamed by critics for the lame skits within the show,. Has Sterling Cooper ever proposed an ad campaign that wasn’t lame? Why do TV critics insist on carping about so-called procedurals not developing characters, when they nist certaunly do.
I blame this sort of herd thinking for NBC and the lameass Jay Leno hour when we could still have Charley Cruse.
Excuse the rant, but Life was the best TV show since maybe Rockford Files, and these bastards with an FCC license put Square-Jaw Turd-Pants on instead to save money?

Life -I loved that show - Cruse was a good character they could have done so much with that show.

I could care less about TV critics, I don’t read their pap.
But Gil Grissom?!? What an annoying POS that character is! CSI is a fantasy show for AMW fans that hold conspiracy theories about the police letting the bad guys go.
IMHO, Don Draper is one of the best characters on TV at the moment.
More Leno and no My Name is Earl or Southland. NBC truly is working hard at following the Dumont TV Network into oblivion.
