   @rmacprivate, I did a pretty extensive image search for hood ornaments and couldn’t find a Desoto version that looked like that. Closest I found was a ‘54 Mercury.
   
   But if I ever need to design a starship for some science fiction story, I’m gonna look at a lot of hood ornaments for inspiration.
   
   The only faces I’ve found are in the car’s paint, especially the door.
