This high-flying single-panel comic spotlights and savors the foibles, stupidity, and goofiness of our colorful unnatural world. It's all about attitude, as the denizens of Bluemel's realm devote themselves to surviving life's pitfalls, whether nesting in quicksand or coping with the technological advances of the tapeworm. From word play to fowl play, from weirdness in the wilderness, to the irony of iron ore, Birdbrains makes the offbeat seem natural. It's a feature to laugh at: if it makes you think, you're working too hard.

Is this political commentary?
All of the Sheople are to the right of Centaur?

What does Wyoming have to do with this comic. Yukoneric, are you making an indirect reference to the sheep and the ranch boys of “Brokeback Mountain?”
The ranch boys, Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist, (who were also real cowboys in their own right, as far as the original Annie Proulx novella was written) never had any sexual activity with animals. As they got older and married women, they were really heterosexually married closeted homosexuals.

Yukoneric - A Colorado joke about Wyoming:
Why do Wyoming cowboys wear button fly jeans?
Because the sheep there can here a zipper a mile away.

It’s a play on words. It is also misspelled. Sheeple= a crowd of people acting stupidly together like a herd of sheep, following the leader mindlessly. It’s just an expression used when “mob mentality” takes over. A sheeple does not think for himself/herself.

This is what happens when you cross “Trevor” with “Haiku Ewe.”
