Lily Collins

Lily Jane Collins, daughter of rock star Phil Collins, was born in Guildford, Surrey, England, on March 18, 1989. After her parents divorced, she was raised by her mother in Los Angeles from the age of five. She majored in Broadcast Journalism a the University of Southern California and covered the 2008 Presidential Campaign as a host on the Nickelodeon RV show "Kids Pick the President." She has also written for a number of publications since her teens, including "Teen Vogue," "Seventeen" and the "Los Angeles Times Magazine."

She found success as a model and was named "international Model of the Year" by Spain's "Glamour" Magazine in 2008.

Lily made her acting debut at the age of two on the BBC comedy "Growing Pains." She went on to appear in a couple of episodes on the rebooted TV series "90210," before landing a role as the daughter of Sandra Bullock's character in the 2009 movie "The Blind Side." Following a role in the 2011 thriller "Priest," she starred opposite Taylor Lautner that same year in "Abduction."

She lost out to Kristen Stewart for the role of Snow White in "Snow White and the Huntsman"...but was then cast as Snow White, opposite Julia Roberts, in "Mirror Mirror." She followed up with roles in "Stuck in Love" and "The English Teacher."

Her leading role as Clary Fray in "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" - the first in a series that is widely tipped to be a franchise as successful as the "Twilight" movies - should assure major stardom for Lily Collins.
