Sure would be nice to see a new TV show, get back to the Picard era Federation. They should stick with what works, instead of trying to rewrite whats already done. Don’t get me wrong, I’m looking forward to the new movie. I just think the Next Gen story still had alot to say. A movie about Pike, how he got hurt, that would be cool. And new. But they don’t respect the fans enough to try something like that.

My favorite Star Trek captain is Avery Brooks as Captain Benjamin Sisko.
There have been a lot of Star Trek graphic novels and comic books too. One was about the Starfleet Academy. There shd. be a movie and a show about that too.
