okay, to breakfast (despite not catching up to yesterday yet.

let’s start with fruit juices - apple, orange, and cran-razz (because i know some of us like it)
then, i guess i’ll try some hash browns or home fries to go with the eggs very well done (it’s the only way i know how to make them. over easy is impossible because i always wind up breaking the yolk so i gave up trying.) with bacon, sausage but no ham (in respect for poor Ima).
lastly, nuclear coffee or orange pekoe and earl grey tea (separate pots of course. i’d never mix teas)

i had to go back to finish catching up on yesterday. looks like the weekend is going to be a GOOD party if the tunes are any indication. knocked out by the way Kenny Rogers looked introducing “Lean on Me” (a great song) and i listened to all of the John Anderson tune as well. Thanks Terry. though i’m not much of a country fan i will listen if it’s good- and this qualifies. the Brook Benton was a revelation to me. I’ve heard the song before, but not like that. Superb doesn’t half describe it. Bonnie Raitt? Okay, but weird to not see her playing guitar. And special thanks to Dry for the Curtis Mayfield. My knowledge of funk is sadly lacking (like country, i don’t listen to a lot) but i know what i like and this is great. enough babble, i have toons to read! later.

yyyguy, thanks for breakfast. Re: your name (from a few days ago) I figured it was from the three Stooges. They were always my brothers’ and my favorite show. I will never forgive Carol Burnett for replacing them on The Family channel 15 or so years ago.

Dry - The company sets what I stock in place, all I can do is fill it.
Several times a year they do come through and re-set everything.
I never know what I’m going to lose and what new stuff i’ll be getting.
I think they do it just to confuse me.

You should have been here for some of the discussion groups I had a few years ago, when my son lived here.
The ages ranged from 16 to 21.
No topic was taboo and the only rule was respect each others opinions
My role was enforcing that rule, not always easy..

Ah, that would explain your valiant but futile efforts at SOTU.

As for debating, I love being the dissenting view whether I believe my argument or not. It’s better than a whole class saying the same thing, and agreeing with each other.

I was never a public presenter, in fact, once I totally froze in front of the whole 9th grade class. My teacher told me to NEVER memorize my subject matter, which is what I did.

Now, if it’s something I’m passionate about, you can’t shut me up!! :-D

I had to give up on SOTU. a bunch of teenagers from the local alternative high school were more mature and easier to control.

I’m fond of expressing outrageous opinions and ideas for effect.
