I didn’t know that “Tate” is a name. I suppose you’re always learning!

No, tate is a real first name. I believe that it can be used for both boys and girls

When I was teaching, I had a student named Tate. Also, there is the actor Tate Donovan.

A relatively obscure name, typically for boys. I remember Tate Armstrong, who played a couple seasons with the Bulls in the late ‘70s. Pretty decent player but never made it big in the pros.
As much as Nate would like the note to be about him, it’s not!

I like the way he builds himself up only to be brought down hard.

Some upperclassperson should be picking on him about that getup by now. Like: Hey Snooper, where’s Blabber??
