Yeeeaaah . . . those skimpy outfits! Mind you, I have one criticism of figure skaters, why do they always telegraph when they’re going to jump? Watch them, and they go into this stance just before jumping. I find it irritating, I think it would be more dramatic and effective if the jumps came without warning. Is it because they physically need to do that preparation so as to be able to jump, or is it because that’s how they’re trained and nobody has ever thought to try a different way? If the former, then okay, it can’t be helped. If the latter, then figure-skating needs a Jean-Claude Killy, the guy who revolutionized ski-jumping with a far, far better stance!
