Aspiring cartoonist Nate Wright is the star of Big Nate, the daily and Sunday comic strip distributed by NEA since 1991. Nate is 11 years old, four-and-a-half feet tall, and the all-time record holder for detentions in school history. He's a self-described genius and sixth grade Renaissance Man. Nate, who lives with his dad and older sister, enjoys pestering his family and teachers with his sarcasm.

I’ve been following this strip for about a month and a half now. Nate is not a character that I’m warming to at all. I’ll give the strip another week or so, and decide then whether I’ll continue to follow.
.
Nate just never seems to be written as anything other than a “1/2 trier” for want of a better word.

Is it 4 Keats or 8 Keats to a Yeats, I can’t remember.

Nate, I never knew you would go so low just to get jenny…

@Alexikakos
I don’t think he’s supposed to be warming up to you. His egoand his cluelessness wis what makes the strip funny, in my opinion.

@ghostkeeper
Hmm, I don’t know… Seems like most of the situations he finds himself in are a result of some sort of d-baggery on his part.
