Since she and Alex go way back I guess it’s best to forgive. This can’t be the first time Alex has done something that hurt Betty and vice versa. But I still wouldn’t trust her completely.
I’ve been in that situation before – really hurt by a close friend. But after time, the initial sting faded and the longing for that friendship became stronger.
Macushlalondra Nice to see you again. I beg to differ on one point only – I don’t think Alex is actually capable of being hurt, which would explain why she is so cavalier about hurting Betty.
Her son’s facebook friends are just way more “fly by night” than the friendships Betty has. They come and go quickly, making her 25 yr. old friendship seem to have lasted a very long time!
Betty is a smart, savvy comic character who is unapologetically ordinary, happy and female. Betty is a truly modern woman - a wife, mother and working woman.
