Why?? Why can’t you just DO something that shows your adventurous attitude? Older people wearing clothes meant for kids look terrible and it usually backfires and makes them look older (and more desperate). Enjoy your age! Doesn’t mean you need to wear polyester pants with elastic waistbands, just wear something fun yet age-appropriate.
You ignore one simple fact: most stores cater to the trends. That means it is difficult to find anything “fun yet age-appropriate”. Every time I buy new clothes, I buy a new look, because the old look isn’t available.
Most stores cater to kids. I’m a 70 year old woman, not ready to shop at Lane Bryant, and trying to find something that fits and is fitting is nearly impossible.
more than impossible – if you’re active but carry a few (or more) extra pounds. So called ‘active’ wear is sized for 95 pound girls that are 5foot seven. sigh.
