   And the poor suckers who are not let go will have extra work to do with no increase in pay. And reminded if they complain, they CAN be let go.

   I was once in this situation, and the curious thing is that I was less concerned for myself personally than I felt sorry for the organization because I thot they really could have used the project I was working on.

   I’ve found,in most companies, that there are many jobs that could be eliminated . The only problem is those jobs are usually held be management.

   So is she stringing her out? She still hasn’t said anything about firing or being let go. She could be reassigned. Again for less pay or more work (or both).

    I’m really hoping that once she’s finished her slashing, the company will put HER position on the chopping block. Since many past strips have shown her as self-absorbed, she was probably hired for her lack of empathy.

    That last statement can have two meanings: A—Her job will be something else or B—Her job is gone and so is she.
