Jo-Phan — Can’t resist answering your Thursday comment about tablets…
With “Swype” on my Android phone, I’ve learned to select, copy, cut and paste text.
The ThinkFree Office app even lets me change font sizes and formatting, and send simple but Word compatible docs to my PC.
And that’s on a mere phone….
Inexpensive productivity suites for tablets may not have all the capabilities of MS Office, but you certainly don’t have to delete and retype whole docs because of an error.

The reason why so few good books are written is that
so few people who can write know anything.

Mozza, you missed the point! That comment was made by Walter Bagehot. Before you go calling people names, learn to read. Yeesh!

I couldn’t agree more! Walter Bagehot is still a prat…or am I reading something into it

In this day and age, so many people are busy with their thumbs and teensy abbreviations that we will end up with too few discriminating readers for writers to have a worthwhile audience. Wonder what Walter Bag(full of)Hot air wrote that was soundly panned??

Thank you. I have a Nook tablet; I’ll have to see what’s there to improve editing.

THAT’s what the ThinkFree Office thingie on my phone can do? Wheee! Had no idea.
.
’the Swype though? Suppose with practise I could give it a shot. Right now – I keep hitting the cap shift instead of the “a” with my thumb.
