Do as I say, believe what I believe, for I am the keeper of the payroll.

“Advocating the refusal to give another human being a blood transfusion is harmful to the person who cannot get that transfusion.”

That is your interpretation. It happens to be mine, as well, but not so with Jehovah’s Witnesses. And what gives either of us the right to call it a false religion any more than they have the right to tell you yours is false? All religious faith is just that: faith. Different people have different faith; how can you prove yours is superior or correct?

If religionists get to control our medical practices, their employees will only have access to their latest technology: leeches.

I notice these companies don’t mind SELLING their products to people who use contraception. The hypocrisy is mind boggling.

“Any so called “religion” which advocates anything that hurts another human being is not truth.”

“Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.”

David Green’s son Mart is the ceo of Mardel Christian and Educational Supply. A couple years ago, I was making a rosary for my mother-in-law for Christmas. I went to the local Mardel looking for a cross with Jesus on it. They had many crosses on display but none to fit my needs so I asked a clerk. I was told that that was Catholic and they do not have “Catholic stuff.”

Seems to be some hypocrisy there.

I am glad that you agree that there’s 6,000 year old stuff in the Bible that can be disregarded in a modern context. You don’t strike me as being so… progressive.

    Nailed it.
“All faith claims are just voices in someone’s head. Whatever you call them, they are unprovable and there are millions of voices in people’s heads…all saying different things.”

Hypocritical, but completely unsurprising. Nearly all fundamentalist protestants consider nearly all catholics to be non-christians.
