Speaking as a liberal Dem, I must say that for once I agree with the Tea Party on something.

Ted Cruz is MY top choice for the 2016 Republican Presidential nomination, too.

AND.. Mitch McConnell managed to get a little pork thrown his way… Is this not the cause of most of the debt? The Republicans whine about the cost of the social programs.. yet have no problem with a little pork here and there.

There is no dealing with the TeaBircher wing-nuts or fanatics like Harley. If they listen exclusively to right-wing hate radio, watch FOX News and read their propaganda online media and believe what they tell them (and they do), then we need to know something about them. They have a visceral hatred of Obama (he can do nothing right), and they don’t want a government that has Obamacare, or Social Security, or Medicare, or public education, or the EPA, or the IRS, or the minimum wage, immigration reform, food stamps, infant nutrition… and the list goes on.
    .
‘thing is, they don’t want anybody else to have those government functions, either.
    .
So when the Democrats agreed to things like the sequester, where they believed it wouldn’t happen because it would be, like, stupid and unthinkable, well… guess what? These wing nuts think that idea (AND shutting down the government) is just a spiffy idea.
    .
And now, without any further ado, cue the regular trolls with their usual rants.

Speaking of losers, the whole country is, and has been losing on account of this debt crisis nonsense:

A new report from Macroeconomic Advisers argues that Congress’s budget battles, debt-ceiling stand-offs, and spending cuts have cost the U.S. economy nearly 3 percent of GDP since 2010.

That’s roughly $700 billion in lost economic activity and more than two million lost jobs— all thanks to Congress. And that’s before we even factor in the losses caused by the recent federal government shutdown.

And they say the Democrats wasted money on the 2009 Stimulus.

Penny wise and pound foolish. Their masters must be taking in money in large quantities to allow the republicans to keep doing these things.

Cruz is right. He’ll be fine. Obamacare is garbage and should be scrapped.

As a native Texian I would like to apologize to the world for Tio Taco Cruz and every Congressperson that voted against this. Texas is a good place to live except for the politics, education and healthcare.
