    Maybe it’s a rhetorical question, but why do Texans vote for these clowns?
    .
    IMO, the ’cons have influenced their education system for decades in order to produce an obedient constituency that believes whatever they are told.

    Europeans did it also, death for teaching an Irish child to read.
    Can’t kill them, but Texas can refuse to educate those it does not wish participation from.
    With the higher technology available it works more efficiently than a hundred fifty years ago.

    No doubt the Texans have implemented some truly egregious anti-educational policies, but let’s not forget that ‘education’ is a pet Dem project, and just look what they’ve done to ‘education’ in this country.

    This country has the best propaganda machine corporate industry, special interests and a corrupt government can create.

    And it does indeed produce an ignorant, semi-literate, compliant population.

    Just a clarification, I meant to say ““IMO, the [Texas] ’cons have influenced their education system…”

    My family has been in Texas since 1838 and I dearly love the state, that being said I also detest the insane government we have had since Ann Richards was Gov. Yosemite Sam calls emergency special sessions to regulate a woman’s body and then rails against government regulation. No special session for education, healthcare, etc., just the same old douchebag crap that has been spewing forth forever. Abbot is even worse than Yosemite and feels every decision should be faith-based. Yes, we have a great economy because of energy and a low tax base (move your company here and we will give you great tax breaks and pass it on to home owners). Also our economy is put squarely on the backs of immigrants, both legal and illegal, yet so many shout hatred of those folks. Hopefully, one of the Castro brothers will run for a high office and bring some sense to the Lone Star State.

    Those that do must agree with them unless they always vote straight. It takes less time an brains to do so.

    @Debt Free

    But as they continue to cut taxes on corporations they come to Texas and contribute too little to warrant them being there.

    Enough Texans are a different species of human to make the State different. I am sincere about this. Look how many great generals have come from Texas. It is in their DNA through EVOLUTION over thousands of years. No, of course Texas hasn’t been around but it draws the species type to it like birds to a feather. And it is not just Texas. Evolution perhaps powered by our own Sun’s fusion and subatomic particles never stop zapping out DNA/Genes etc. Appreciating our evolution is at least as important as discovering the earth is round. When birthers say Obama is not one of us they truly mean it. Compare species: http://www.informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/left-vs-right-world/ It is much more complicated than Left/Right but this is the rough outline. We are all mixed up, LOL

    In Texas all you need is a bible, an “R” lapel, and sound like a hill billy and you’re in. OH! And don’t forget the cowboy boots!
