I’m pretty certain the framers of the constitution didn’t have gay marriage in mine when that was written. Show me where it is?

^ O.C. How does that have anything to do with equal protection of the constitution? American citizens are supposed to be governed equally despite what some churches say!

The constitution doesn’t protect wicked and immoral behavior – that’s for religion to protect.
If marrying a horse will make you happy – GO FOR IT!
You answered your own question with your examples – right and wrong DOES vary over time and by culture.

organized catholics argument FAILS on all counts.
can’t marry a horse, a horse can’t consent. and your allusion to gay marriage=bestiality is offensive, intolerant and most of all, UNCHRISTIAN.

the standard our laws are based is common law, with long history and well understood, except by you, standards.

Your stupid arguments dance around the fact that you’re judging others based on your own immoral religion.

Any more than the Framers has semi-automatic assault rifles in mind when they wrote the Second Ammendment.

Granted they were “pagan”, but the Spartans had the “gayest” army going, and did quite well. Point being, “gay” isn’t something than only came to pass in San Francisco in the ’60’s, and acceptance was common in many a “pagan” culture long of course before Christianity. Then of course that highest level of marriage between man and woman, Roman Catholicism, followed by evangelicals like Ted Haggard, really showed us the way, right?

Nor did they have the Internet in mind when they wrote the First Amendment (with a quill pen).

The technology may have changed; but the principles remain intact.

I think your arguments fall along the lines of classic Ridiculi Absurdum … ok, I made that up, but you’re making a ridiculous hyperbolic straw man assumption, and then rail self-righteously about the false conclusion.
    .
    You’re just another pompous, self-righteous, holier-than-thou, bible-thumping religious fanatic.

Doesn’t apply. Marriage was always based upon one man and one woman. The 2nd Amendment guarantees the right to bear arms to any law abiding American citizen. i.e. NOT criminals. See the difference? And by the way, handguns are MORE widely used in CRIMINAL gun crimes than rifles. But you just want “feel-good” legislation that will do no good and won’t be enforceable. It ONLY harms the law abiding gun owners.
