Tired of "politically correct?" Want an editorial cartoon that is quick to call out the bumblings of U.S. politics and cuts slack to no one? Pulitzer-Prize winner Ben Sargent is paying attention and making Washington have second thoughts about that little thing called the First Amendment.

Certainly the far right treats any deviation as a combination of blasphemy and treason.

That would be Grover in the mask, shaking his magic tax cut stick.

Well, we all know that Republicans worship the great God Mammon…

I hope the American ellectorate sees the polls and the overwhelming support for letting the tax cuts expire for the VERY wealthy. The Republicans are looking you right in the face and saying “We dont care what you want. We dont serve the people who elected us, we serve the people who gave us the money to run our campaigns. Your vote is nice, their money is better!”

Hey, we invested good money getting those Republicans elected; they damn well BETTER pay us back with tax cuts.

Elsewhere I remarked that the GOP had to beat up on people like Susan Rice because if they beat up their own it looked bad. Apparently I was wrong. The Inherited It Foundation has attacked Boners proposal as “bad policy, bad economics”. To paraphrase Lincoln , You can please some of the people some of the time…but you can’t please some of the people any of the time." Never thought I’d feel sorry for Boner. (Come too think of it, I still don’t.)

The Witch Doctor looking High Priest just below the statue is a nice touch.

I truly do not get it. WHY? is it going to bring in more revenue to our government? No. Is it going to bring about a job. a single job in the private sector. Well yes, accountant and lawyers are all over this.
But why this push to tax and push to make a bad guy out of the rich and the elephants? And what has Obama the great leader given us? They rich they bad tax them or I will not pass this deal. A deal I might remind you the R have brought to the table what 5, 10 times now. Obama has done what with them?
Obama is only a leader if you want Wealth envy and class warfare other then that he has NOTHING!

“GOP had to beat up on people like Susan Rice :”
She is a proven political hack. Check out what she did in Africa. the same thing she did with the 4 dead. Cover it up and make it go away so her guy in office does not look bad. If you think that is what a Secretary of State is for then by all means support her.

The comics paints the Republican picture just like it is. All mumbo jumbo and extremely bad politics….

Oh the hell with it, just tax the crap out of the rich like the Dems want, and then when unemployment is back to 10 percent and all the rich folks have taken their toys (and Jobs) to Bermuda or Grand Caymen, somebody might finally figure out that those same rich folks are providing the jobs needed to dig us out of this economic tar pit.

That reporters face – priceless! “I could be a thousand places, but nooooo, I had to be sent here. $#!?!!!”.

@PGarrigues
Considering tax rates are extremely low while the income growth of the rich is at historic highs, why all the whining?
