those who make money by saving and investing, and keep their money have always been resented by those who merely earn money and spend it,. the haves and have-nots. you put yourself there, and since it’s all you know, it’s all you’ll ever strive for. get over it. it’s disgusting, and won’t help you any.

When that is the case you are correct. But too many today make their money by the sweat of other people. Tough to save when commodities brokers drive prices up because of greed.

Working, saving, and investing aren’t enough any more — you put it in Wall Street, and they wrecked people’s life savings while taking big risks for chancey profits, and destroyed the economy and jobs. And not a single one of them has paid for their crimes. I don’t mind rich people, many of them earned their money. I DO mind rich people who fail to pay their share of taxes and use the government to socialize losses while privatizing profits.

The real issue here is that things ARE DIFFERENT than they used to be in the USA. Those on top have made rules (ie., bought politicians) that changed the landscape in their favor. It is no longer a matter of working hard. Working hard won’t cut it. The fact that the wealth of the rich has increased by hundreds of times while everyone else’s has decreased tells us that something is wrong.

Good lord, what fantasyland do you live in? Here in the USA, the gap between rich and poor approaches that of third-world nations. The rich get special tax writeoffs, and the GOP wants to tax the poor more. Unearned income, like inheritance, is not taxed anything like earned income. (Which is part of Warren Buffet’s point.) Furthermore, you can just play with other people’s money all day and take home more of your income than someone doing labor. The Capital Gains Tax needs some revision.
That’s the problem, not your strange “savers versus spenders” contrast.

The problem with this idiotic comic is that the group it purports to represent isn’t “the 99%.” It is a tiny minority that want to spread discord, violence, and revolution. These people are simply the far left’s version of the tea party, except they’re all jumping, wingless bloodsuckers. Call ’em the FLEA party.

How about those folks that are not paid enough to live on let alone put money into savings? You are so so into yourself.

If BS had any integrity, he would ONCE address the burden that HIS PARTY has placed upon the people through the trillions of dollars of debt that he’s added in a scant few years (already more than Bush did in eight years). He was supposed to cut that debt in half, rather than add trillions of dollars to it. The thing is, the burden and tyranny of government must be ignored by those whose agenda is the downfall of the private sector, which is what this Wall Street Occupiers mob is about.

yohannbiimu – remember, without the Bush tax cuts in 2001, there would not be debt today. There was a budget surplus from 1998-2001, the debt was being paid off, and the Republicans said that surplus was “our money and should be given back” which they did, mostly to the wealthy. So, from 2001 to the present, this country has had massive deficits and no way to spend our way out of the recession without incurring more debt.

So let me try to understand… the people that made investments… into a small business and lost it all due to the recession Or the ones that invested in property (a home) that has lost its value OR the ones that lost their good paying job and are working for minimum wages to pay for overpriced everything… They… Them… PUT themselves there and should get over it? You disgust me!!!

Mae, don’t try to make ‘em think, they don’t know how. All they can do is spout talking points, most of which deny reality….i.e. they make things up… they are silly silly people….

Yeah. And it was your hero Bush Minor’s idea.
And if Obama had voted against it. you would have accused him of obstructionism and partisanship.
