Just like the Romans we still fear the Vandals and the Goths.

Nothing nationalistic about Assange. Stop being so provincial, he undermined International security. :-|

Ironic that a political cartoonist who makes his living attacking corruption and lies in government considers a whistle blower like Assange a “vandal”.

I suppose you would have supported having Daniel Ellsberg hung for treason for having the audacity to to expose the Vietnam war for the fraud it was to the american public. What, 55,000 US deaths not enough for you, as well as a secret war in Laos and Cambodia, resulting in genocide by the Kyber Rouge? Just when did you think the US gov’t was going to make that public?

The argument that our national security is at risk with the Wikileaks made public is a joke–We already at risk by the inane actions of our leaders who play amateurish Machiavelli politics against seasoned pros, and armchair generals fighting useless wars that cause more harm than security. How can we hold them accountable for THEIR actions if we don’t know what idiocy they have been up to? Take them at their word they know what they are doing? Riiiight.

That’s war at the age of Internet. If you shut down Wikileaks, other sites like that will pop up. Now that people had a taste of classified informations, they feel like they are entitled to it.

Better to learn how to use those people at your own advantage.

The trouble with ‘National Security’ is that it’s right up there with, ‘Wolf!”

‘National Security’ has been used to justify so many controversial actions, many of which had nothing to do with keeping America safe*, that it’s rapidly losing all meaning.

Like the people who rolled their eyes and said, “Yeah riiiiight’, when the shepherd boy cried ‘Wolf!’ once too often, the American people are getting fed up with the constant cry of ‘National Security’ emenating from both Washington and the Pentagon.

^Cause we’re doing stuff we’re not supposed to be doing and the people there want to hurt us because of it. Why do you think they are burning our flag and not the Canadian or Swiss flags?

This is beginning to look about a devastating as a panty raid at Lindsay Lohan’s. Keep your privates private, but an eye out for paparazzi- just stop posing.

^^ Regardless of my personal feelings for him, he was still a president of the U.S. and we should address him at least somewhat respectfully.

    Dear governments,

“If you’ve done nothing wrong, you have nothing to hide.”

Doesn’t sound as reassuring as when you say it to us, does it?

Methinks Dudley said what he meant the first time. Drunkenness does that.
